For years, the communities of Sosúa, Cabarete, Montellano, and beyond have welcomed us, supported us, and inspired us. Now, as the holidays approach, we want to give back in a meaningful way — to the very people who make this place feel like home.
Why This Matters
Every December, hundreds of families quietly struggle to put together a simple holiday meal. Many parents stretch their budget as far as it will go, hoping to create some magic for their children… even when resources feel painfully tight. This year, we’re stepping in — not with promises, but with action.
RealtorDR will match every single donation, dollar for dollar.
If you give $25, we make it $50.
If you give $50, we make it $100.
Your generosity is doubled instantly, turning compassion into full grocery baskets, warm meals, and holiday dignity for families identified by local schools and community leaders.
Our Goal: 500 Families Across Four Communities
We’re distributing 125 baskets in each of the following areas:
- Pancho Mateo (Montellano) – led by Bernisa
- La Ciénega – led by Carinne (with the flexibility to reallocate if needed)
- Callejón de la Loma (via Coral School) – led by Katherine
- Sosúa Abajo – led by Hennah
These communities were chosen with care, and with help from local schools and trusted partners who know exactly where help is needed most — especially in homes with children.
What Your Donation Provides
Each family will receive a Christmas food basket (“canasta”) filled with essentials and festive items to prepare a full Dominican holiday meal.
Standard Basket (RD$ 2,500 / ~US$42) includes:
Rice, beans, pasta, cooking oil, sardines, tomato paste, crackers, oats, guandules, corn, soup packets, salami, Christmas treats, a bowl, cookies, and holiday wrapping.
Deluxe Basket (RD$ 3,000 / ~US$50) provides everything above plus:
More rice, a larger oil, premium coffee, and additional festive goods. Nothing goes to waste. Everything goes to the table of a family who needs it.
Fundraising Target
With an average cost of RD$ 2,750 per basket, our target is:

RealtorDR will match donations up to $12,000 USD.
The community goal is US$11,450 — and if donations exceed that, we’ll increase the number of baskets.
Every dollar donated goes directly toward food and packaging.
RealtorDR covers all logistics, coordination, transportation, and delivery costs.
Distribution Dates
We’ll deliver the baskets just before Christmas, during the final week of school when families are still gathered:
December 18 & 19, 2025
