Born and raised in the USA, Gigi Tea first visited Cabarete in 2012 and fell in love with the lifestyle, culture, and the sport of surfing. Gigi Tea is both Dominican and American so she understands and finds solutions for the challenges people face when relocating. Moving to Cabarete was in a way getting back to her roots, a process that is recently being called rematriation: going back to your motherland.
